The DomoRIA (Domotic Rich Internet Applications) project defines a Web 2.0 platform to abstract and control the devices in a home automation deployment by means of a set of web gadgets integrated in a central control dashboard accessible and adaptable to the physical features of the target client (mobile or fixed). The main goals of the project are: Create a new platform based on RIA and web technologies to universally control the devices at a house. Adapt the control interfaces to the physical features of the devices used by the user following the approach “write an interface once and show it in different devices respecting its appearance and use”. Guarantee the extensibility of the control platform, allowing the new integration of devices following the approach Plug-and-play (PnP). Integrate the control platform which generates RIA interfaces for browsers in devices connected to Internet and mediates with the underlying home automation installation and its protocols. Such platform has to be inserted in small low powered embedded devices. For further information, please visit the DomoRIA website(http://www.tecnologico.deusto.es/projects/domoria/index_es.html).
