Nowadays the power and the capabilities of the mobile devices are in a constant growing; thanks to this we don’t only have voice-oriented services, but multimedia entertainment focused services too. The combination of the new terminals with the advances in cheap GPS technologies and contextualization opens a wide range of possibilities to offer new and better value added services to the final user. In order to probe these possibilities, this paper describes the development of a contextualized and personalized multimedia content delivery platform using transactional communications for mobile terminals, which is able to attend to the user location and preferences to offer the best suitable content for him in a proactive way. Furthermore an actual test route has been made to proof the successful working of the platform.
